♡ A new way to wash your hair ♡

Fun fact about me, my hair is one of the things I like the most about myself. I tend to wash my hair every single day even though I know it's quite a bad habit. You can also say that lately I had a complicated relationship with my hair because I still don't know if I look better with medium hair or with more long hair and basically I'm the type of girl who decides to cut a few inches of her hair because she is bored of the length but then regret it a few days later when she sees pictures of girls with long hair on social media (we all know THAT girl, am I right ?!). So basically, I try my best to take care of my hair by doing some masks from time to time and I always gently brush my hair before going to bed.

A while ago, a hair company called Hair Story challenged me to give up on shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, ...  for a whole month and replace all of these products with only one : the New Wash. I'm not going to lie, I was really skeptical because I was worried that my hair will be all greasy and dry in only one week. Buuut as you can see from the title of this post, I've decided to give this product a go !

To start, I can say that I have thick and straight medium-length blonde hair. I don't usually have greasy hair and whenever I buy a hair product it's mostly because I want my hair to be more shiny and less dry. Moreover, I use the blow-dryer pretty much every single day because as I wash my hair in the morning I don't want to have wet hair when I go to uni, especially during winter ! That's why, my hair feels often quite dry.

Now let's talk about the products shall we ?! The parcel I received contained three different products: the actual New Wash product and two others called Hair Balm and Dressed Up. The New Wash product came in a quite big bottle with a pump dispenser. The first thing that hit me was the smell. At first I think it was a bit strong for me but after, I get used to it (It smells like essential oils fyi). The New Wash product is indeed not a regular shampoo because it doesn't contain any detergent, it's just full of essentials oils and natural products that are here to clean your hair and product less hair oil. What a wonderful idea, isn't it ?!

Although I didn't like the dispenser at all because I feel like the product is a bit too thick for a pump, I really enjoyed this product and how convenient it is. The first time I used the New Wash I've noticed that it doesn't lather at all so it was actually quite surprising because I'm used to have a lot of foam when I use a regular shampoo. As soon as I rinsed the product I've noticed that my hair felt as soft as when I normally use a hair mask. After I dry my hair, I could see that my hair was shiny and really REALLY soft.

After I used it for a month I can say that I'm totally in love with this product. It changes the way I used to wash my hair and I found it useful because in only one product you have a shampoo, a conditionner, a detangler and a hair mask, without using any detergent.

The other two products :

Hair Balm helps to moisturize your hair and it also finally gives some texture to my hair ! Again, I tend to never put any lotion in my hair after the shower because I'm always scared my hair will get oily and greasy. Luckily, the formula doesn't feel heavy at all and I think it's perfect for wavy-curly hair.

Dressed Up is a hair styling product to use preferably before using a blow-dryer. The thing I like the most about it, is that you only need a few amount of this product to make your hair feels smooth and easier to style. Moreover, it doesn't make my hair dry ! I can also feel like my hair is less flat and has more volume thanks to this product.

*Disclamer : I was kindly sent these products for a review but all opinions are my own :)

  1. These products sounds too good to be true! I wash my hair everyday like you, I have tried to wash every second day but my hair is just so dirty that I can't even handle it. I think that these might help me, so I need to start searching them from here xx
