♡ What's In My Travel Makeup Bag ♡

If you don't know already I'm currently on holiday until Saturday (keep your eyes peeled for some holiday pictures here) and usually when I pack for a trip I like to think about what's REALLY essential, as we all know the struggle to pack our suitcase and maximize the space. Well, the main problem for me is on the makeup side : what to take ? what I really need ? what I don't need ? The struggle is real and I'm sure I'm not the only one. That's why I try my best to only take travel size makeup products or even samples.

The thing I'm trying to focus on when I do my makeup bag is what I'm going to do during these holidays. I know for sure that I'm going to be sunbathing a few times on the beach so I'm not going to wear makeup every single day. It's also good to think about how hot it's going to be because we all know that hot temperature and heavy makeup isn't what we can call a good combo !

Zoella Beauty Makeup Bag | This bag is the perfect size to fit into my suitcase and it's pink so what can I say ? It's also great because you can actually put a lot of products in it and it doesn't take a lot of space in my suitcase.

NYX Angel Veil primer | One important thing if I want to apply foundation and I know it's a hot day is using a primer. To be honest, everytime I use primer on my face, my skin breaks out the next morning, that's why I'm trying to use just a tiny bit of primer. Otherwise, I really love the smooth formula of this one and I feel like it helps my foundation to stay in place all day long.

Body Shop Instaglow CC Cream | Another product I love and I mostly use it as a primer, especially if I decide to go for a glowy makeup look. Plus, I feel like it's a good moisturizer.

L'Oreal Perfect Match foundation | This is currently my favorite foundation as the formula is quite light and watery so it's nice in the summer if I want to achieve a glowy look (Thankfully sweat is already helping me on that point ...). The color is quite light for my skin especially if I get a tan (which I don't normally do without having first, what I called, a lobster kind of color).

Real Techniques Makeup Sponge | I've repurchased this product a few times now and I have nothing else to say, besides that it's doing an amazing job when it comes to applying my foundation and my concealer. Definitely a life savior !

Maybelline Super Stay 24H concealer | If I'm too lazy to put foundation or if my skin is clear I like to only apply some concealer in order to let my face foundation-free. I really love the formula of this one as it's quite opaque and super easy to blend without being patchy.

Maybelline Sensational Lashes mascara | What can I say about it ? Well it's my favorite mascara EVER and I can't seem to find it a replacement. It makes my lashes longer and darker in only a few coats without clumping.

Maybelline Lasting Drama gel eyeliner | I wear eyeliner almost every single day and I like to think that it's my signature makeup look. Although sometimes I want to give up because one of my wings is really messed up, I can stop wearing it ! My favorite eyeliner at the moment is the Maybelline gel one as I think it's really smooth, especially if you want to achieve a thin and net wing.

Kiko Eye Base | A friend of mine recommended me this product a few months ago and I've been using it everytime I put some eyeshadow since. I feel like with this product my eyeshadow stays on more longer in the day without fading.

Tanya Burr Sunset Eyeshadow Palette | I've recently bought this product as it was on sale on Feel Unique and as I've been dying to try one of the Tanya Burr Cosmetics palettes. The size of this is perfect, it fits in my makeup bag and the colors are gorgeous. The thing I love the most is that in one product you have matte and shimmery colors so it's perfect if you want to play around with your eye makeup look.

Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel | One thing I never go without, if I can say so, is my eyebrows. I know it sounds really weird but by that I mean without properly drawing them because otherwise you can't barely see them. I mostly use this product to hold my eyebrows in place all day long.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter  | As I always love to apply highlighter on a daily basis I couln't leave my favorite highlighter at home. The thing I love the most about it is that it gives me a nice natural glow in only a few applications.

Jelly Pong Pong Wonder Gleam Highlighting Blush Palette  | This palette is really useful as it contains not only one but three different highlighters in only one product. I've been using the middle shade a lot lately as I'm a bit more tanned. It's called 'Rose Beam' and it's a lovely rose gold color, which looks perfect for summer.

Zoella Beauty Gelat'Eau Body Mist | This is the last body mist released by Zoella Beauty from her new Jelly and Gelato range and I've been loving this product lately. It definitely became my new favorite summer scent. It smells really fresh and floral !

EOS Lip Balm | Another essential in my opinion, especially if you're like me and you always have dry lips. Plus, if I'm going to the seaside, with the salt water my lips are often hurting me so that's why I like to use this lip balm.

H&M 'In a nutshell' lipstick | For these holidays, I only decided to take one lipstick with me because I knew I wouldn't wear lipstick every day. I simply took one of my favorite nude from H&M. The formula is really creamy and I can barely feel it on my lips.

A few makeup brushes | And finally what's a makeup bag without some makeup brushes ? Of course as I've said before I needed to optimize the space so I only took a few brushes with me such as my Real Techniques Contour Brush that I use to apply my highlighter (so logical !), my Beau Belle B6 and C8.

I hope you enjoyed this little post about my current travel makeup bag. Don't forget to tell me what makeup product you can't go on holiday without because I'd love to know ! :)

    1. Well as I've said I don't often wear primer as my skin often breaks out after but in my opinion this primer is a great base for my foundation as it makes the pores less visible :) x
